Life and Soul started with Jon Carson, a highly popular and respected DJ across the south coast of England. If you can name a bar or club past or present along the south coast, chances are that he’s gigged there! However, the history of Life and Soul does not end there. His father Dave Carson was arguably the most famous DJ in Southampton during the 70’s and 80’s. He was gigging at the Royal Pier in Southampton for many years, making the most out of a very high profiled residency.

I first met Jon in Popworld Southampton, and was immediately struck by his DJ skills and professionalism. He recognised my passion and interest in the music industry. Jon coached and developed my own DJ skills, to the point where I gained the confidence needed for high level gigs, which i still love doing to this day. His mentoring and my BA degree in Music Management has enabled me to take the lead role at Life and Soul, which continues to grow and uphold the high standards in musical entertainment.
